"It's called the Doomhammer because when its owner takes it into conflict, it spells doom for the enemy. The last of the Doomhammer line will use it doom to the orc individuals and to bring first redemption. Subsequently it is going to pass into the hands of one who's not of the Blackrock family, all will shift again, and it'll once again be used in the cause of justice."
The renowned Doomhammer looks like a fitting last piece to my chain of Warcraft associated PETG printables for now. Design was made combining characteristics from many fanart graphics along with short cinematic in the game of Warcraft III. I attempted to make it as readily printable as possible while keeping the original appearance of the thing.
This was by far the hardest of the three Warcraft things I've printed during the previous weeks; not due to the printing though, but due to the post processing to get the "granite rock appear" to specific parts and the gradient glow to the entire hammer head.
Would have been simpler with lighter blue PETG, but the one I purchased occurred to be fairly dark, so I made in spite of pure white LED's the luminescence is rather faint in comparison to the other two. Another alternative would be to use blue LED's and colorless PETG. I believe that'd have been more easy as well.
Hammer head printed from blue PETG. Remainder of the components PLA.
Post processing and details done with Citadel miniature paints and melting the surface with a soldering iron to reach the "chiseled rock" feel. Handle additionally has imitation-leather strips
