  • This delicately detailed bronze statuette of a falcon originates from the Bronze age, about 664-332 B.C. Like many other falcons used in Egypt at this time (research the British Museum Falcon here) they were used to decorate a sarcophagus which would hold an embalmed body of a deceased creature or person.

     

    This item is part of "Scan The World".
